FRIDAY NIGHT KICK-OFF CONCERT: Boulder Creek Events is starting the Festival weekend early by featuring a free concert starring ONE ON ONE at Twenty Ninth Street Mall! Stop by the kick-off concert on Friday night and enjoy entertainment, great food, Boulder Beer, margaritas, and plenty of free parking! Friday, May 28, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Twenty Ninth Street Mall (corner of Canyon and 29th Street)
THE GREAT RUBBER DUCK RACE: The Boulder Creek Festival’s signature event! Thousands gather on Boulder Creek’s shores to watch the ducks speed to the finish line. Proceeds benefit the Boulder Parks & Recreation EXPAND Program, which provides recreational & cultural opportunities for people with disabilities. Monday, May 31, 4 p.m., on Boulder Creek.
FISHING DERBY: Kids 12 years old and younger can enjoy a morning of fishing at the Fishing Pond, hosted by the Boulder Fish & Game Club. Saturday, May 29, 7-10 a.m. at 6th & Canyon.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Join us for a breakfast hosted by the Boulder Kiwanis as a fundraiser for their organization. Sunday, May 30, 8-10 a.m. in the Main Food Court.
SALUTE TO VETERANS BAND CONCERT: Sponsored by the Boulder County Veterans Service Office and the Boulder Veterans Council, the service recognizes and remembers all Boulder-area veterans and also serves as a tribute to those currently serving in the U.S. Military. Featuring a concert by the Longmont Concert Band. Sunday, May 30, 10-11:30 a.m. at the Bandshell.
GREEN ZONE: Boulder Creek Events is excited to announce our efforts to make the 2010 Boulder Creek Festival a Zero Waste event! This year we have a dedicated “Green Zone” with all reusable, compostable, and recyclable materials, as well as Zero Waste stations. Help us make Boulder a little greener all weekend long in the 13th Street Food Court!
