FRIDAY NIGHT KICK-OFF CONCERT: Boulder Creek Events is starting the Festival weekend early by featuring a free concert at Twenty Ninth Street Mall! Stop by the kick-off concert on Friday night and enjoy entertainment, great food, Boulder Beer, margaritas, and plenty of free parking! Friday, May 25, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Twenty Ninth Street Mall (corner of Canyon and 29th Street)
THE EXPAND RUBBER DUCK RACE: The Festival’s signature event! Thousands gather on Boulder Creek’s shores to watch the ducks speed to the finish line. Proceeds benefit the Boulder Parks & Recreation EXPAND Program, which provides recreational & cultural opportunities for people with disabilities. Monday, May 28, 4 p.m., on Boulder Creek.
FISHING DERBY: Kids 12 years old and younger can enjoy a morning of fishing at the Fishing Pond, hosted by the Boulder Fish & Game Club. Saturday, May 26, 7-10 a.m. at 6th & Canyon.
SALUTE TO VETERANS BAND CONCERT: Sponsored by the Boulder County Veterans Service Office and the Boulder Veterans Council, the service recognizes and remembers all Boulder-area veterans and also serves as a tribute to those currently serving in the U.S. Military. Featuring a concert by the Boulder Concert Band. TBA
GREEN ZONES: Boulder Creek Events is excited to continue our efforts to make the Boulder Creek Festival® a Zero Waste event! The entire Festival is a dedicated “Green Zone” with all reusable, compostable, and recyclable materials, as well as Zero Waste stations. Help us make Boulder a little greener! VINTAGE BICYCLE SWAP: Sponsored by Adam’s Polishes & BikeStix, the Vintage Bike Swap features hundreds of vintage and classic bicycles for sale and trade. Sunday, May 26 & Monday, May 27, 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. at 13th & Arapahoe.
