Where is the Boulder Creek Festival®?

The Festival is held in downtown Boulder along the Boulder Creek corridor, extending from 9th Street to 14th Street (west to east), between Canyon Blvd. and Arapahoe Ave. (north and south).

 

What are the hours of the Festival?

Saturday, May 25: 10 am – 10 pm (exhibitor booths close at 7 pm)

Sunday, May 26: 10 am – 10 pm (exhibitor booths close at 7 pm)

Monday, May 27: 11 am – 7 pm (exhibitor booths close at 5 pm)

How do I get to the Festival?

Where can I park?

Public parking lots & garages can be found at the following locations:

  • 1100 Walnut

  • 1400 Walnut (by the RTD bus station)

  • 1500 Pearl Street

  • 11th Street & Spruce (behind the Boulder Book Store)

There is free street parking in local neighborhoods on weekends, but please take note of street signs for possible exceptions. Because of limited downtown parking, we strongly suggest using alternate modes of transportation to get downtown, such as riding your bike or taking the bus to the Festival.

Handicapped-accessible parking will be available on the corner of Arapahoe and Broadway in the Park Central Building parking lot and on the north side of the Atrium Building parking lot, and an ADA drop-off area will also be made available at the Library. 

What is the cost of admission to the Festival?

There is no charge to get into the Boulder Creek Festival®, and all concerts are FREE!

How can I find out who will be performing each day?

Click HERE for a complete list of performances. There are three Performance Stages at the 2018 BCF: the Bandshell Main Stage, Festival Stage, and Community Stage (featuring the Teen Stage on Sunday). Click HERE for the full line-up! During the weekend of the Festival there will be Trail Maps available at each of the six Information Booths and the Main Command Post. The Daily Camera will also be listing the Bandshell and Festival Stage daily performance schedule for each day of the Festival.

What kind of food will be available?

There will be approximately 50 food vendors in two different Food Courts at the Boulder Creek Festival®, over 30% of whom are from Boulder County. The Main Food Court is located in the parking lot behind the Dushanbe Teahouse Plaza, and the 13th Street Food Court is located on the Corner of 13th Street and Canyon (next to the Bandshell) in Central Park. There will also be various food carts placed throughout the Festival grounds.

Can I purchase alcohol at the Festival?

There are two beer gardens serving local craft brews from Oskar Blues BreweryUpslope Brewing Co., and Wild Cider, as well as wine and margaritas. Please note that alcohol will be allowed only within designated areas, and will only be served to adults ages 21 and older who have been ID'd and have received a wristband from our beer tent.

Will there be carnival rides?  How much are they?

The carnival rides will be open during the following times:

  • Saturday 5/26: Noon-9pm

  • Sunday 5/27: 10am-9pm

  • Monday 5/28: 11am-6pm

Tickets are $1 each, or 24 tickets for $20, and most rides cost 3 or 4 tickets. A full day carnival pass may also be purchased for $25.

Are dogs allowed at the festival?

Leashed dogs are allowed at the Boulder Creek Festival®. For further rules and regulations pertaining to having animals on City of Boulder property, please click HERE.  Please note that the Boulder Farmers’ Market no longer allows animals within the event.

When is the Duck Race?

Due to the major construction in the Civic Area last year, the Duck Race, which traditionally capped off the Boulder Creek Festival, took a hiatus in 2017. The Duck Race will return in 2018 at our Boulder Creek Hometown Festival on Monday, Sept. 3 -- check back soon for more details!

How can I sign-up to get a booth at the Festival?
